Chemical Storage & Release Reporting

This 2-part course provides an overview of the reporting requirements for facilities that store, manufacture, process, and/or otherwise use hazardous chemicals as part of their operations. The training covers the key reporting programs, triggers, or thresholds for applicability, along with reporting requirements and deadlines. Upon completion, you will be able to determine if reporting is applicable to your facility, and if so, the steps necessary for successfully completing the reporting process.

Learning Outcomes:
1. Gain a foundational understanding of Sections 302 - 313 of the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of 1986 (SARA) Title III and associated reporting triggers, requirements, and notifications, including Tier II Chemical Inventory Reporting and Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) Reporting
2. Become familiar with release reporting requirements for petroleum products and hazardous chemicals, and potential requirements for storage of these materials
3. Recognize strategies for reducing the risk and regulatory burden of hazardous chemical storage and reporting
